Mobile auto glass services

Everything below is performed on site — in your driveway, your parking ramp or your job site — anywhere in the Minneapolis–St. Paul & the Twin Cities Metro. One visit, one technician, no shop drop off.

Windshield Replacement
60–90 minutes

Windshield Replacement

A chip, a long crack or a spider break all end the same way: the glass has to come out. We replace it in your driveway with glass matched to your VIN.

  • OEM or OEM-equivalent glass matched to your VIN
  • Factory-spec urethane with documented safe-drive-away time
  • Rain sensors, heating elements and acoustic interlayers carried over
  • Old glass and debris hauled away — your driveway is left clean
ADAS Camera Recalibration
45–60 minutes

ADAS Camera Recalibration

Lane keeping, automatic braking and adaptive cruise all read the road through your windshield. Replace the glass and those cameras must be recalibrated.

  • Required by most manufacturers after any windshield replacement
  • Static and dynamic recalibration performed on site
  • Documented pre- and post-scan report for your records
  • Safety systems verified before we leave your driveway
Insurance Claim Handling
We handle the paperwork

Insurance Claim Handling

We work with every major carrier in Minnesota and file the claim on your behalf. In most cases you pay nothing and never speak to an adjuster.

  • Direct billing to State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, GEICO, American Family and more
  • Comprehensive coverage in Minnesota usually waives the glass deductible
  • Claim filed and documented before your appointment begins
  • Cash and card pricing quoted up front if you would rather not file

Common questions

Will my insurance cover a windshield replacement in Minnesota?

If you carry comprehensive coverage, Minnesota insurers typically pay for windshield replacement, and most waive the deductible entirely for glass claims. Filing a glass claim does not raise your rates the way an at-fault accident does. We verify your coverage before the appointment and bill your carrier directly, so most customers pay nothing.

Can you repair a chip instead of replacing the whole windshield?

We do not do resin chip repair. MedX is a windshield replacement and ADAS recalibration shop, and we would rather do those two things properly than a little of everything. If your chip is small, out of the driver’s line of sight and has not started to spread, a repair specialist may be able to save the glass — we will tell you that instead of selling you a windshield you do not need. If it is spreading, longer than a few inches, or sitting in your line of sight, replacement is the safe answer and that is what we do.

Do you really come to my house? Is there an extra fee?

Yes — MedX is a fully mobile operation. There is no shop to visit and no trip charge anywhere in the Twin Cities Metro. We service driveways, apartment and condo lots, office parking, and job sites. We just need a reasonably level spot and a bit of clearance around the vehicle.

How long does the appointment take?

A windshield replacement runs 60 to 90 minutes, plus safe-drive-away time for the urethane to cure. If your vehicle needs ADAS camera recalibration, add roughly another 45 minutes.

Can you replace glass in the Minnesota winter?

Yes. We work year round and use cold-weather urethane systems rated for low-temperature installation. In extreme cold or heavy precipitation we will ask for a garage, covered parking, or will move your appointment to the next workable window rather than risk a bad seal.

What is ADAS recalibration and do I need it?

Most vehicles from roughly 2018 on have forward-facing cameras and sensors mounted to the windshield that run lane keeping, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Removing the glass moves those cameras out of alignment, so manufacturers require recalibration after replacement. We perform it on site and give you a documented before-and-after scan report.

Do you offer a warranty?

Every installation carries a lifetime warranty against leaks and workmanship defects, plus the glass manufacturer's own warranty against defects. If a seal leaks or a molding works loose, we come back out and fix it at no charge.

What payment methods do you accept?

We bill insurance carriers directly for covered claims. For cash-pay customers we accept all major credit and debit cards, and we quote a flat all-in price before any work starts.

Not sure whether your windshield needs replacing?

Send us a quick description of the damage and we will tell you honestly whether the glass has to come out — and whether your vehicle will need its cameras recalibrated.
